Our technical service is constantly evolving, both technically and organizationally. We are looking for a Maintenance Manager who will contribute to continuously improving the technical condition of our resources and assets. You not only coordinate and lead the team, but you also prepare maintenance reports and develop a strategic maintenance policy within the appropriate maintenance and investment budget (CAPEX). You can optimize processes, integrate best practices and thus contribute to manageable maintenance costs and higher production efficiency. As Maintenance Manager, you are the driving force behind optimizing the technical service and ensuring sustainability and efficiency.

The technical department is responsible for maintaining and repairing the production equipment at the factory in Franeker. The buildings, grounds and utilities also fall under the responsibility of the technical service.
As Maintenance Manager, you are part of the Operations Team. This team also consists of Engineering, WCO, Production and Safety. You report to the Operations Manager.
The Maintenance Team consists of approximately 30 permanent employees who work in three groups: planned maintenance/buildings, sites and utilities, maintenance engineering and faults, including fault service with all-round fault engineers in teams.
In the position of Maintenance Manager, you provide operational management to the three independent coordinators, each representing an organizational unit. Functionally, you are responsible for the entire implementation of the technical service and for supervising and developing your team in a stimulating and coaching way to achieve a strong maintenance culture throughout the organization.
The technical service plays an important role at Huhtamaki Franeker. We ensure that everything remains in good condition and that there is no unnecessary downtime. We support production with knowledge and experience that has been built up over the past years.
