About the position

‍
In this role, you are responsible for developing, optimizing and implementing maintenance strategies to ensure maximum availability of our production equipment. You combine technical expertise with strategic insight to improve processes and performance. Your tasks include:

• Strategic maintenance planning: You develop and implement maintenance strategies that contribute to the maximum availability and reliability of production equipment. This includes establishing, evaluating and optimizing maintenance concepts based on methodologies such as RCA and RCM. In addition, you set up maintenance KPIs and ensure that they are used efficiently. You continuously assess the impact of maintenance concepts on KPI goals and make adjustments where necessary.
• Analysis and Troubleshooting: You support the fault team in analyzing the causes of complex and repetitive failures. Through thorough analyses, you identify areas for improvement for maintenance activities, the organization and the use of installations and materials. You initiate and implement improvement measures in collaboration with colleagues within the Maintenance Engineering team and technicians. In addition, you work closely with Huhtamaki Franeker's own Engineering machine building.
• Risk analysis and optimization: You carry out risk analyses on critical technical installations and machines with a major impact on the availability of operations. Based on these analyses, you will evaluate and optimize maintenance concepts and provide insight into maintenance work processes. You record these processes in maintenance systems to ensure continuity and overview.
• Team development: You coach and motivate your team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. By getting the best out of each individual, you ensure a strong team that proactively contributes to optimizing maintenance processes. You are an inspiring leader who focuses on the personal and professional growth of your employees.
• Technical expertise and implementation: You lead complex technical projects and contribute your knowledge to achieve technical improvements. You carry out root cause analyses to solve failures and problems, and implement improvement measures to prevent recurrence. You use your technical knowledge to take the organization to a higher level in the technical field.

Huhtamaki Netherlands is the worldwide specialist in sustainable fiber/pulp packaging. In the Netherlands, we operate from Franeker, where a team of over 200 employees produces sustainable packaging every day.

What does our organization look like and what can you find with us?

Our technical department is responsible for maintaining and repairing the production equipment at the factory in Franeker. Our team consists of approximately 32 employees, including Technicians, Electrical Engineers and Mechanical Engineers. In addition, we have all-round fault engineers who specialize in maintaining and repairing various types of production machines. The technical service is available 24/7 to remedy any faults in the production equipment.
As a team, we play an important role in the production of Huhtamaki Netherlands. We ensure that everything remains in good condition and that there is no unnecessary downtime.

What do you get from us?

• As a Maintenance Manager, you will be employed directly by us, we like to retain good people.
• Your salary — based on the weight of the job and your experience — is between €70,500 and €94,000 per year based on 40 hours per week, including 8% vacation allowance and a 13th month.
• Bonus scheme: maximum 4% of your annual salary (depending on individual and business performance).
